V21 Restore us, O Lord and bring us back to you again!

Give us back the joys we once had! Lam 5:21

In the last days God said he would pour out his Spirit. We hope and pray you are all experiencing revival individually and in your churches.

Revival broke out at Asbury College in Kentucky on Feb 14th and hasn’t ended. Funny enough, it’s one of the colleges that we did a missions fair at when we were here 10yrs ago. We remember it was such a sweet time in their chapel and a fond memory. Since Valentine’s day (God is very precise) the revival has continued in hundreds of other colleges and universities, States and countries. We are so encouraged at a time when there is enough happening in our world to discourage us. God is so good!

Testimonies from Chris

Revelations

Last Sunday, a man had a prophetic revelation for Chris, saying he would go to another city an hour away to minister to men.

Two hours before that, another man had also invited him to this city. Connecting the dots and being obedient, Chris went and ministered to this group of three men who were on drugs and medication. Two of them were suicidal, and others in depression.

All attended churches but could not share their desperation with church leaders, who led them to seek shelter in a barn in the middle of a field. Invitation-only access was the order of the day. Chris got in because he went with one of the attendees. God’s revelation opens doors no man can shut and vice versa. Isaiah 22:22.

Many were freed from the enemies’ hold after repenting of addictions and immoral living.

Sunday Football…

A pastor called and asked me to come and pray for a difficult situation involving a young lad. When I turned up I could see that the kid was somewhat nervous. My British accent is a give away and immediately he said are you English? I said what’s your soccer team? He said Arsenal. I’m not a fan, however, not wanting to say Man Utd. I said “cool! I watched them win the double in 1971 when I was 22.”

Having disarmed his fear by revelation, he became receptive.

I asked why he was attending this session.

The reason is his anger got the better of him, punching holes in his parents’ walls and having meltdowns.

When I asked about his dad’s name, he couldn’t remember it (his mum was in another room then).

We said Jesus would help him through these difficulties, and we anointed him with oil. As he received Jesus, he mentioned his dad’s name. Afterwards, I took him to his mother and asked about his dad. He abandoned them soon after his birth, and a new dad had come on the scene (an arsenal supporter)!

In conversation with the new dad, I asked if Man U supporters wrestle with their kids. Maybe you should change teams. Chris never saw them again; however, he has heard that the

kid is now well-behaved.  Maybe the red clothes of Jesus changed their team.

Chitty, Chitty, bang bang

We’ve been leading and hosting small groups weekly for the past year in our home, and this has become a haven for those wishing to explore and practice their spiritual giftings in a safe environment. People are coming from all over the States to see if God is calling them to the Greenville area, so we get our fair share of strangers visiting. About a month ago, Linda received a call from a couple that wanted to check us out.  When they arrived, our group welcomed them warmly; however, all evening, we tried to find out about them and what they were thinking and doing but couldn’t get through to them. They were keeping their cards close to their chest. I Chirs gave up and was looking forward to the evening’s end. Suddenly one person said can we pray for you? They said yes. I thought, what can God do for people who seemingly have everything? As we prayed, others had thoughts and words that they gave; all I could think of was Chitty chitty bang bang. So I gave the word. Linda looked at me with one of those looks a wife gives her husband when she thinks he’s gone completely off his rocker.  I even started singing Granddad’s (Lionel Jeffries) song “The travelling life for me” I then switched the lyrics to ‘travellers rest’ and said you’re called to that city…bang bang! They both looked amazed; they told us they were considering buying 20 acres in this town. I, Chris is glad to say that Dick Van Dyke is still alive and kicking @ 97 years old, albeit he crashed his car in California this week

From hospice to life!

Lisa was diagnosed with stage four COPD. She was 65 years old.  I had been given this assignment from hospice care as a volunteer and was looking forward to attending to my first patient. It was quite a battle to get in to see her with the various protocols they had at this nursing home, and finally, they told me they would wheel her out into the car park, and we could sit there. I chatted with Lisa about her life, and she told me she didn’t want to die. I asked if I could pray for her, and whilst praying, she told me she felt like a knife was being pulled out of her left lung (this was the worst lung); she then went on to say, as I was still declaring healing over her that she could feel tingling in her shoulders.  I left shortly after and didn’t see her again. A few months later, I got a phone call from the office, and my coordinator told me that Lisa was healed and no longer in hospice care. Praise Jesus for His goodness and healing.

I was privileged to be with these dear ladies in a memory centre/nursing home. It was fun to chat with them and to read the bible to them. We had a great discussion on Psalm 139. It gave them hope, and I encouraged them with the gospel and told them that they are ‘fearfully and wonderfully made’.  God is doing so many things around the world right now despite the doom and gloom we hear about through the media.

We are so thankful to the few of you still interested in our ministry and work here in the USA. Thanks for all the prayers and friendship, and responses to our news.  Some of you have followed us faithfully for many years now, and we want to tell you that it means so much to us. Thank You!
