Dear Friends,

We hope you are well and looking forward to this season of Advent. No matter what is happening around us, nothing can change the fact that Jesus was born to become our Saviour and redeem us from sin, sickness and the evil one.

Have you ever noticed people being drawn to you? Smiling at you? I often see people in my everyday life, doing errands and shopping and I think to myself, am I smiling? Is that the reason people are smiling at me? Isaiah said that people would be drawn to us and Jesus said; “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matt 5:14)

Since we last wrote quite a few things have changed. I (Linda) have taken on some cleaning jobs for different people from the church. Two ladies have Airbnb houses and one lady just doesn’t like to clean. So, I’m earning a little bit of money to supplement our support. I also go to the YMCA for a reduced amount which is given to older people on a low income.

On Tuesday, I was at the Y when I heard the older manager talking to another guy about his injury. The other guy said it would take a long while to heal. I wanted to pray for him, but he wasn’t the kind of man I would have felt easy with unless the other man had been there. They both walked into his office and talked – I was working on a machine. I struggled with God knowing he wanted me to go into the office and pray. I left it for a while until the promptings eventually became stronger. I finally relented and tapped on the door. I told them I overheard their conversation and asked if I could pray for him. He told me he had fallen over and hurt his hip. He couldn’t even touch it without feeling much pain. As I prayed, I felt that God had healed him. I asked him to do something he couldn’t do before the injury. He told me they think it’s a possible hairline fracture. I told him I declared in Jesus’s name, there was no fracture. He put his hand on the area and was shocked. All pain had gone! He couldn’t believe it. I told him to thank Jesus, who had healed him. He took out his phone and showed me a picture of his bruised hip. It was the colour purple and black. Today, as I was in the Y he came up to me and told me he had just come back from the hospital and showed me a picture of his hip. All bruising had gone, and the area was almost all white. He has no pain. He asked me to come on Saturday and pray for his wife, who has a bulging disc. I said I would come and pray for her. God knows who we are about to encounter during our day and anoints us for the task. I asked Holy Spirit this morning to anoint me, and He did. All glory and honour to our King Jesus!

The first picture is just before I prayed, the second is two days later. Look closely. He said he could see my hand print on the bruise as Jesus was healing it. The third picture is another couple of days later. No hairline fracture, no more pain.
