Salvation Testimony
Last Sunday was Mother’s day; it was a beautiful sunny morning as we walked on the beach. The ocean was roaring, and the waves seemed particularly high but were not coming in too far. I rolled up my jogging bottoms and was enjoying the sand and water on my feet. All of a sudden, a big wave came from nowhere and pulled me in up to my waist. I was drenched and told Chris I would have to go back home. He encouraged me to stay as I was already wet. I thought well what does it matter I’ll soon dry off with the sun blazing down on us.
As we turned to walk back I noticed a young lad that God had highlighted to me. He had lots of gripping tattoos and several piercings. But I first noticed his lovely face so sweet and tender with smiling eyes. He had a huge smile as we approached him and asked him if he spoke English. Frederico was about 20 yrs old, his tattoos were mostly Eastern mysticism pictures, some were pretty mean looking.
I started prophesying over him of God’s plans and the future He has for him. I told him to leave behind his life that was a mess and to start living for Jesus. Frederico was born again right there on the seashore admitting his life was a mess. He came like a small child and was so tender-hearted.
Please pray we will see him when our church opens up again he said will come.
Healing Testimony of a friend.
My friend Hannah had been suffering from ringing in her for the past couple of days. We have been friends and prayer partners since our days of being in Kyrgyzstan and have chatted on social media over the past 20 odd years. We have had the joy of lifting each other up during hard and difficult struggles.
Hannah had prayed for her ear but she still had the ringing, so just before we were about to say goodbye I asked if I could pray for her ear. She agreed and I just commanded the ringing to go in Jesus name and for the root cause and any underlying problems to also go. She said she heard a pop inside her ear and it felt much better. The very next day I received a text from Hannah saying that she was completely healed and had no more problems with her ear. Thanks and praise to God!
You Raise Me Up
Creation is longing to speak to us as we look to the creator and one-day last week as we arrived at the beach, we noticed a huge sandbar. The ocean had changed from azure blue to a horrid brown colour. The sand had been heaped up in giant mounds where the huge waves came in and dumped it, and the contours were utterly different. Our walk had been made so severe, and it was like trudging through wet mud with wellies. I couldn’t quite make it from one end of the beach to the other. As I was trudging through, I felt God showing me a picture of how He helps us when things are tough, when life is difficult, and we face challenges as we are all facing these days. And he reminded me of a song by Josh Groban – You Raise Me Up! God showed me a picture of me on his shoulders like a loving father carries his weary child when he/she can no longer take another step.
When I am down, and, oh, my soul, so weary
When troubles come, and my heart burdened be
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit awhile with me
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be.
During the last couple of months, Chris and I have had some very down days as I’m sure most of us have. Our horizons have changed and uncertainty seems more certain. But God, in his kindness, hasn’t left us. He has a fantastic plan. The virus is not his story for us, and there are signs of revival all over the earth. It’s the most exciting time to be alive, and we The Church have an incredible privilege of bringing in the lost. God is raising us up to more than we can be.
We don’t need to be a famous healing evangelist or a well-known prophet or preacher. We just need to be ready and willing, available and surrendered to His leading.
Bible sales have soared to something like 55%, 1 in 4 are attending church online, and the harvest is ripe. It is our time to shine. Let’s be encouraged and excited friends. God has a plan!
A season of newness has begun, and I feel that God is encouraging us not to try to take the old stuff into the new season. They won’t work. Things we did before are not for this new season. A bit like the old wineskin that Jesus talks about in Matthew 9:16-17.
I do hope and pray that this blog will encourage you. It has inspired me to write it and reiterate to myself what I have felt God is doing in these days.
