Hello Dear Friends,
We trust this finds you well and enjoying life to the full. We do apologise for the long silence since our last news. Thank you for understanding.
Well, lots of different things have happened as you would expect. We continued with the Indian Upstate Fellowship for a short while and then had to make adjustments for our own Spiritual lives. The church is 45 minutes from where we live, and fuel prices have risen to the highest since we came here. The meeting starts at 4:30, making it nearly impossible for us to attend church in English. Sadly, we have had to put it on hold until/if things change. We keep in touch and are willing to attend outreach meetings and special events.
Meanwhile, we heard about a church plant in Greenville, and we have been with them since its inception. We are core members and have been welcomed and valued as missionaries and ministers of the Gospel. There are many different nationalities and an international body of people. We have people from Ukraine, Congo, India, Trinidad, Korea, Russia and more. We are thrilled to be part of it and have missed being with foreign speakers. Some know Jesus as their Saviour, and others do not yet. So this is a fantastic opportunity for us, and we spend lots of time in the coffee lounge talking, evangelising, and praying.
We are also very involved as leaders on the ministry team that prays for people. We are small group leaders too. Typically, our Sunday starts at the church at 2.00, and we get home at 8:00 pm. It’s a long day, but we love it.
Our small group is not that small; we started with seven and now have anything up to twenty people. One lady has called it a safe place. We have a Ukrainian lady married to a Portuguese guy. The group goes very deep and is intimate, sharing our lives, food, and fellowship once a week. Check out our church at www.studiogreenville.com.
I (Linda) offered my services as a volunteer for hospice. I went to visit Lisa, who had COPD stage four. She coughed the whole time I chatted with her. She is 68 years old and knows Jesus as her Saviour. I asked her if I could pray for her, and she agreed. As I prayed, she felt tingling in her lungs, and somebody pulled something out of her left lung, which is the worst lung. She felt someone touching her shoulders and didn’t cough one more time after I prayed. Left her a pleased lady, healed and whole. Thanks to Jesus!
There have been many other encounters with people, too many to write here, but God is working everywhere, and we are thankful to be a part of it.
Thank you for your friendship and kind support. We do appreciate it very much that you are sowing into the Kingdom with us. Our Uk Stewardship ACC. – Account No. 20392550 – Healing Ministries & Evangelism, South Carolina, USA – Chris and Linda Munford
